TRIBUNNEWS.COM - Predikat film terlaris rupanya tidak menjamin Transformers: Age of Extinction lolos dari nominasi Razzie Awards, ajang penghargaan tahunan untuk film-fim terburuk.
Bahkan di Razzie Awards ke-35 ini, sekuel keempat dari film arahan sutradara kondang Michael Bay itu mendapatkan tujuh nominasi, terbanyak dari film lainnya.
Dikabarkan Associated Press, Selasa (13/1/2015), nominasi tersebut antara lain film terburuk, sekuel terburuk, sutradara terburuk, dan skenario terburuk.
Sejak dirilis Juni 2013, film yang tidak lagi menampilkan Shia LaBeouf ini memang sudah mendapatkan ulasan terburuk dari para kritikus film. Nilai yang didapat hanya 3,8 dari 10.
Terlepas dari penominasian dan ulasan tersebut, film yang dibintangi oleh Mark Wahlberg ini meruap keuntungan 1 miliar dolar AS secara global. Ini menjadikannya film terlaris sepanjang 2014.
Ini bukan kali pertama Transformer masuk nominasi Razzie Awards. Pada Razzie Awards 2010, film yang diadaptasi dari serial animasi Jepang ini juga memborong sejumlah nominasi.
Pemenang Razzie akan ditentukan oleh 757 anggota Razzie melalui online voting.
Pengumuman nama pemenang akan dilakukan di malam penghargaan yang digelar di Montalban Theater, Hollywood, AS, 21 Februari mendatang, sehari sebelum the 87th Annual Academy Awards.
