Perilisan iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro dan iPhone 12 Pro Max melalui acara betajuk 'Hi Speed' yang digelar secara virtual pada Selasa (13/10/2020) pukul 10 pagi waktu setempat atau Rabu dini hari pukul 00.00 WIB.

Keempat smartphone Apple ini kompak mengusung chipset terbaru besutan perusahaan, yakni Apple A14 Bionic.

Chipset ini sudah dilengkapi dengan dukungan 5G.

"Kita sudah sampai di era baru. Hari ini, kami memboyong dukungan 5G untuk pertama kalinya ke jajaran iPhone."

"Konektivitas 5G bisa memberikan performa jaringan yang lebih mumpuni, baik itu untuk streaming video berkualitas tinggi, pengalaman gaming responsif dengan tingkat latensi rendah, dan masih banyak lagi," ungkap CEO Apple, Tim Cook sebagaimana diwartakan Kompas.com.

Tidak hanya chipset, keempatnya juga mengandalkan panel layar yang sama yakni OLED Super Retina XDR.

Keempat iPhone terbaru ini masih dihiasi poni (notch) lebar khas Apple.

Pada poni ini memuat satu kamera selfie 12MP (f/2.2) dan satu sensor sistem biometrik Face ID.

Adanya notch ini membuat tampilan iPhone 12 series sekilas tampak sama dengan generasi sebelumnya yakni iPhone 11.

Perbedaan terletak pada bingkai ponsel yang kini tampak menyiku (squared) mirip seperti desain bingkai iPhone 4, iPhone 5, dan iPhone SE (2016), serta iPad Pro dan iPad Air 2020.

Keempat iPhone 12 ini dilapisi dengan kaca pelindung ceramic yang diklaim empat kali lebih kuat dibanding kaca biasa.

Keempatnya juga dibekali dengan sertifikasi IP68 yang diklaim bisa kuat di bawah air dengan kedalaman enam meter selama 30 menit.

iPhone 12 mini dan iPhone 12

iPhone 12 mini menjadi varian terbaru dari jajaran ponsel Apple yang memiliki embel-embel 'mini'.

Sesuai namanya, layar iPhone 12 mini menjadi paling kecil dibanding tiga saudaranya.

Layar berdiagonal 5.4 inci dengan resolusi 2340 x 1080 piksel dan kerapatan 476 ppi.

Tubuh iPhone 12 mini ini memiliki lebar 64,2 mm; tinggi 131,5 mm; dan tebal 7,4 mm dengan berat 125 gram.

Bagian punggung terdapat dua kamera yang tersusun secara vertikal dalam modul persegi.

Keduanya yakni kamera utama 12MP (f/1.6, wide) dan kamera ultrawide 12MP (f/2.4, berbidang pandang 120 derajat).

iPhone 12 mini hadir dalam tiga pilihan memori internal, yakni 64GB, 128GB, dan 256GB.

Apple menyiadakan lima warna yang bisa dipilih yakni Black, White, PRODUCT (Red), Blue, dan Green.

Secara keseluruhan, iPhone 12 'reguler' memiliki spesifikasi hampir persis dengan varian 'mini'.

Perbedaan terdapat pada ukuran layar dan body yang lebih besar.

iPhone 12 'reguler' memiliki layar berbentang 6,1 inci dengan resolusi 2532 x 1170 piksel dan kerapatan 460 ppi.

Tubuh iPhone 12 ini memiliki lebar 71,5 mm; tinggi 146,7 mm; dan tebal 7,4 mm dengan berat 164 gram.

Dari segi ukuran tubuh dan layar, iPhone 12 Pro sama dengan varian 'reguler'.

Layar iPhone 12 Pro berbentang 6,1 inci dengan resolusi 2532 x 1170 piksel dan kerapatan 460 ppi.

Tubuh iPhone 12 Pro ini memiliki lebar 71,5 mm; tinggi 146,7 mm; dan tebal 7,4 mm dengan berat 189 gram.

Meski sama, perbedaan ada pada desain punggung.

Hal tersebut lantaran iPhone 12 Pro memiliki tiga kamera.

Ketiganya yakni kamera utama 12MP, kamera ultrawide 12MP, dan kamera telefoto 12MP.

Kamera di iPhone 12 Pro beragam fitur terbaru dan terkemuka, seperti Apple ProRAW yang bisa menghasilkan gambar RAW berkualitas tinggi, serta dukungan perekaman video 4K 60 fps dan mode perekaman Dolby Vision HDR.
