TRIBUNNEWS.COM - Daft Punk, duo pop disko asal Perancis yang dikenal dengan dandanan ala robot berhasil membawa pulang lima penghargaan di ajang The 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

Ajang yang dipandu rapper LL Cool J ini dihelat di Staples Center, Los Angeles, California, AS, Minggu (26/1/2014) malam atau Senin pagi waktu Indonesia.

Album mereka yang bertajuk "Random Access Memories" memenangkan tiga kategori yakni Album of The Year, Best Dance/Electronic Album, dan Engineered Album.

Sementara itu, single mereka "Get Lucky" yang merupakan hasil kolaborasinya dengan Pharrell Williams dan Nile Rodgers, dinobatkan sebagai Record of The Year dan Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

"Mewakili para robot, saya ingin mengucapkan terima kasih," ujar Pharrell saat menemani Daft Punk untuk menerima penghargaan Record of The Year.

Malam Grammy tahun ini juga menjadi milik duo Hip Hop Macklemore & Ryan Lewis yang mendapat empat penghargaan, termasuk Best New Artist dan Best Rap Performance.

Penyanyi muda pendatang baru asal Selandia Baru Lorde juga bersinar di Grammy dengan memeroleh dua penghargaan, Song of The Year dan Best Solo Pop Performance untuk hits-nya, "Royals".

Malam penghargaan The 56th Annual Grammy Awards turut dimeriahkan penampilan Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Metallica, Madonna, dan Paul McCartney.
