Akhiri Kontrak dengan YG EntertainmentÂ
Dong-won menandatangani kontrak eksklusif dengan YG Entertainment pada Januari 2016.
Diketahui, ia memilih YG Entertainment karena kepercayaan dan visi masa depannya dengan Yang Hyun Suk, yang saat itu adalah kepala dan kepala produser YG.
CEO Yang Hyun Suk juga menyatakan niatnya untuk membentuk 'tim Kang Dong Won' yang terpisah untuk secara langsung mengelola dan secara aktif mendukung kegiatannya dan ekspansi ke luar negeri.
Pada tanggal 30 Desember 2022, YG Entertainment mengumumkan Dong Won memutuskan untuk akhiri kontrak dengan agensi.
