TRIBUNNEWS.COM - Film Joker, Once Upon a Time di Hollywood 1917, dan The Irishman memimpin nominasi Piala Oscar tahun ini.

Joker meraih nominasi terbanyak, yaitu di 11 kategori, sedangkan 3 film lainnya mendapatkan 10 nominasi.

Meski Little Women menerima enam nominasi (untuk Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Costume Design, Original Score, Best Supporting dan Best Actress untuk Florence Pugh and Saoirse Ronan), sang sutradara film Greta Gerwig justru tak ada di kategori Sutradara Terbaik.

Tahun lalu, Gerwig dinominasikan sebagai Sutradara Terbaik lwat film Lady Bird tetapi tidak masuk dalam Film Terbaik.

Sementara itu, kesuksesan mungkin akan diraih Bong Joon Ho, penulis dan sutradara film Korea Parasite, yang menerima empat nominasi.

Piala Oscar 2020 atau Academy Awards ke-92 akan dilaksanakan pada 9 Februari malam waktu setempat atau 10 Februari pukul 08.00 WIB.
