TRIBUNNEWS.COM - The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies kembali merajai box office Amerika di minggu ketiga diputar. Sekuel terakhir The Hobbit ini menambah pundi pendapatan sebesar USD 21,9 juta. Total film yang disutradarai oleh Peter Jackson ini memperoleh USD 220,8 juta.

Into the Woods menempati posisi kedua dengan pendapatan USD 19,1 juta. Film yang dibintangi oleh Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick, Emily Blunt dan Chris Pine ini total mengumpulkan pendapatan USD 91,2 juta selama dua minggu diputar.

Pendatang baru box office, The Woman in Black: Angel of Death, menempati posisi empat dengan penghasilan USD 15,1 juta.

"Ini sangat buruk dalam memulai tahun baru," ujar Kyle Davies, Presiden Distribusi Relativity, dilansir Variety, Senin (5/1).

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb menempati posisi lima besar dengan total pendapatan sebesar USD 89,7 juta.
