TRIBUNNEWS.COM - Ajang penghargaan film Academy Awards akan kembali digelar pada 27 Maret mendatang.

Tahun lalu, pagelaran Piala Oscar digelar terbatas dengan persyaratan pengujian Covid-19 yang ketat.

Kini, vaksin sudah tersedia luas.

Beberapa tempat di Amerika Serikat mewajibkan vaksinasi bagi warga yang ingin masuk ke fasilitas umum atau sekadar makan di restoran.

Namun, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences justru berencana tidak mewajibkan tamu undangan Academy Awards 2022 untuk divaksin, The Hollywood Reporter melaporkan.

Hadirin hanya perlu menunjukkan hasil tes negatif Covid-19 PCR atau antigen yang diambil sehari sebelum acara.

Wajib masker juga masih didiskusikan.

Pihak Academy sendiri mewajibkan karyawannya untuk divaksin.

Beberapa orang dalam berspekulasi bahwa Academy tidak terlalu mengetatkan aturan karena beberapa tokoh industri terkenal, memilih untuk tidak menghadiri Oscar daripada harus divaksin.
