Mengutip The Gamer, Astro Bot benar-benar dipuji oleh para kritikus dan pemain ketika diluncurkan pada bulan September 2024 lalu.

Astro Bot telah menjadi game dengan peringkat tertinggi tahun ini di Metacritic.

Selain Game of The Year, Astro Bot juga memenangkan penghargaan Best Game Direction, Best Action/Adventure Game, dan Best Family Game.

Mengutip Forbes, Direktur Team Asobi, Nicolas Doucet mengatakan dia bersyukur atas "hak istimewa yang sangat besar" untuk menjadi game pertama yang mungkin dimainkan oleh banyak anak.

Ia bahkan memberi penghormatan kepada pesaing mereka, yakni Sony dan Nintendo dengan seri andalannya, Mario, karena telah menginspirasi mereka untuk membuat game platformer.
