Once upon a time, a big, strong tree named Oliver was in the middle of a green forest. Oliver was known all over for how big and strong he was. His branches reached up to the sky like arms spread. Even though he was very tall, Oliver was very humble. He never boasted about how tall he was or how much shelter he gave the animals in the forest.

One day, a bright and showy lower called Fiona grew at the bottom of Oliver's tree. Fiona's petals had the most colorful colors, and her scent illed the air, making everyone who saw her admire her. Fiona couldn't help but enjoy all the attention. ___(1)___.

A terrible storm went through the forest every few years. However, ___(2)___.
